1998 – Present:  Principal Consultant, TransTechnology Associates LLC, Alexandria, Va.

International management and engineering consultant providing program management, technical direction, systems engineering, business strategy, proposal management, and new business development for high technology software, networking, communications, and systems integration companies.  Multi-office overseas management experience in Germany, Iraq, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and Greece.

·  Extensive experience in technical leadership, team management, collaborative projects and business development across disciplines including the technical direction, evaluation and oversight for multiple subcontractors and crews.  IT and software expertise ranges from middleware/ESB consolidations to massively-parallel high performance computing.

·  Program management and technology leadership activities in coordinating owner/customer requirements, government organizational oversight, and commercial industry contractors covering a wide range of construction types and locations.  Companies supported include:  General Dynamics; Platinum Solutions; DRS Technical Services, Inc.; L-3 Communications, Inc.; Scientific Research Corporation; and Rockwell-Collins (DataPath), Inc.

·  Senior Program Manager for a $250M voice and internet services program in Stuttgart, Germany, staffing and operating the world’s largest satellite-connected internet café system.  Built the international office in Germany, and fielded a staff of more than 100 in six different countries.

·  Took over management of a financially troubled $11M program ($1.5M in the red); contained costs and increased revenues completing the project successfully ($500K in the black). 

·  Successfully directed satellite earth station construction on-site in Uzbekistan and Afghanistan overseeing two separate facilities under extreme weather conditions and short schedule. Coordinated host country subcontractors and negotiated all services.
